Duties and Responsibilities:
Fleet Management:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of the quarry’s fleet, including trucks, loaders, excavators, and other heavy machinery
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment are in optimal working condition and meet safety and operational standards
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the life of the fleet
Supervision and Training:
- Supervise and manage a team of drivers, operators, and maintenance personnel
- Provide training and guidance to staff on the proper use and maintenance of vehicles and equipment
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend improvements or disciplinary actions as necessary
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all fleet operations comply with safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of vehicles and equipment
- Address and resolve any safety issues promptly
Logistics and Scheduling:
- Coordinate the scheduling and dispatch of vehicles and machinery to ensure efficient operations
- Monitor fuel consumption and manage fuel inventory
- Optimize routes and schedules to reduce operational costs and improve efficiency
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of fleet operations, maintenance activities, and incidents
- Generate reports on fleet performance, fuel usage, maintenance costs, and other relevant metrics
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
