Wellness Spa Supervisor
The Spa Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a spa or wellness centre or treatment section, ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth functioning of all spa-related activities. This role involves supervising spa staff, managing schedules, coordinating treatments, maintaining facility standards, and creating a relaxing and enjoyable environment for guests. This position works under the Guidance/Supervision of RMO and wellness manager and reports to CMO.
Job Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Supervise and manage spa staff, including therapists and support personnel. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services and adherence to spa protocols and standards. Foster a positive and motivating work environment to promote staff morale and productivity.
Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service by monitoring guest interactions, addressing customer concerns or complaints promptly, and ensuring a positive and satisfying spa experience.
Treatment Coordination: Manage spa appointments and ensure efficient scheduling of treatments to maximize therapist utilization and guest satisfaction.
Facility Management: Oversee the Hygiene, Disinfection, Sanitization, cleanliness, maintenance, and functionality of the spa facilities, including treatment rooms, relaxation areas, and amenities. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, and coordinate repairs or maintenance as needed. Collaborate with the facilities team to create a serene and inviting ambiance for guests.
Sales and Revenue Generation: Support sales and revenue goals by promoting spa services, packages, and retail products. Train staff on product knowledge and sales techniques. Monitor sales performance, track key performance indicators, and implement strategies to enhance revenue generation and achieve targets.
Staff Development: Identify training needs and opportunities for staff development. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate ongoing training and professional growth. Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices to ensure the spa remains competitive and up-to-date.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of spa products, linens, and supplies. Place orders with vendors and ensure accurate stock levels to meet operational needs. Implement efficient inventory control systems and procedures to minimize waste, reduce costs, and ensure timely availability of necessary items.
Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining records, preparing reports, managing budgets, and overseeing payroll for spa staff. Utilize spa management software and tools to streamline operations, track performance, and generate relevant reports for analysis and decision-making.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education or certification in spa management, hospitality, or a related field with minimum 5 years of experience in Spa/Wellness as therapist is advantageous.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the spa, wellness, or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of spa treatments, techniques, and industry trends
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Proficiency in using spa management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Business acumen and ability to contribute to sales and revenue generation.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required in a spa environment.
