Crusher Foreman
Job Summary:
The Crusher Foreman is responsible for overall onsite operations. He/She will oversee and direct all activities from the tower position. This includes, but is not limited to: directing all crew on the required day-to-day activities; the coordination of production, maintenance, parts orders, quality control; collaboration with assisting sub-contractors; and acting as a client representative. Shifts will be days and nights; on a rotational shift when available. Remote locations and adverse conditions and inclement weather could be factors during operations and maintenance. A positive team dynamic and chemistry is crucial.
Job Responsibilities:
Health, Safety & Environment
Ensure adherence to Ekaa’ s workplace policies and standard work procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control.
Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace.
Ensure adherence to Ekaa’s environmental policy, work standards, management plans and regulatory obligations and requirements.
Integrate environmental policies, programs, and practices into all activities of the organization.
Maintain environmental awareness amongst workforce by holding meetings and actively participate in planned environmental programs and drills.
Production
Supervise operators to ensure consistent plant utilization and plant performance, while promoting a safe work culture.
Perform regular inspections of all plant areas to ensure best operating practices are being followed.
Diagnose plant operating deficiencies and bring resolution to processing issues.
Perform routine inspection of plant equipment and auxiliaries to ensure safe operating condition and effectiveness.
Diagnose equipment operating defects focusing on identifying root cause and coordinate maintenance works with fixed maintenance team.
Clean aggregate stockpile management.
Report on shift activities and performance indicators to management on daily basis.
Delegate activities to hourly employees and contractors to best utilize their skills for the benefit of site operations and production.
Anticipate maintenance needs of all equipment and schedule those tasks promoting the least amount of interfering downtime as possible.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
ITI or Diploma certificate or relevant degree
8 – 15 years of Experience
