Resident Medical Officer (RMO)
Job Summary:
The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) is a crucial member of the healthcare team responsible for providing high-quality medical care and assistance to patients within a hospital or clinical setting. The RMO works under the supervision and guidance of CMO and plays a vital role in delivering patient care, monitoring their conditions, and ensuring their overall well-being.
Job Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive & Integrated medical care from Naturopathy, Ayurveda, yoga, Diet and Physiotherapy to patients admitted to the hospital or those attending outpatient clinics. This includes performing physical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing medications, and administering treatments as per established protocols.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide immediate life-saving interventions. Collaborate with the emergency response team to stabilize patients and ensure their transfer to appropriate departments or facilities or transfer to nearby super speciality hospital if required.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records (MRD-Medical record department), including patient histories, treatment plans, and progress notes. Adhere to legal and ethical guidelines regarding patient confidentiality and data protection.
- Monitoring and Assessment: Regularly assess and monitor the condition of patients under your care. Interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory results and imaging studies, and use the information to make informed decisions regarding treatment plans and interventions.
- Collaborative Approach: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop comprehensive care plans for patients. Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and their families to ensure a coordinated and patient-centered approach. Reciprocates and Supports wellness manger and acts as wellness manager in the absence of wellness manager.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize healthcare delivery. Contribute to clinical audits, research projects, and the implementation of evidence-based practices to ensure the provision of high-quality medical care.
- Continuing Education: Stay updated with the latest medical advancements, research, and guidelines by attending conferences, workshops, and educational programs. Continuously develop professional skills and knowledge to provide the best possible care to patients.
- Compliance: Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory requirements while carrying out medical duties. Maintain knowledge of legal and ethical standards related to medical practice, ensuring patient safety and well-being
- Qualifications and Requirements:
- BNYS from a recognized institution with minimum 5 years of clinical experience.
- Valid medical license or board registration to practice Naturopathy.
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of medical procedures and protocols.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
- Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
