Job Summary:
We are seeking a disciplined, vigilant, and experienced Security Team Leader to join our construction project in Guyana.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading, managing, and coordinating the entire security team deployed across the project site — ensuring the safety and security of all personnel, equipment, materials, vehicles, and assets at all times.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and manage the entire site security team including security guards, gatekeepers, and patrol officers across all shifts
- Prepare, manage, and distribute shift rosters ensuring adequate security coverage across all site entry points, perimeter areas, accommodation, and critical asset locations at all times
- Conduct daily security briefings and debriefings with the security team before and after every shift to communicate assignments, incidents, and updated instructions
- Monitor the performance, attendance, punctuality, and conduct of all security personnel and address any issues promptly and professionally
- Oversee and enforce strict access control procedures at all site entry and exit points — ensuring only authorized personnel, vehicles, and visitors are permitted entry
- Monitor and control the movement of vehicles, equipment, and materials entering and exiting the site — ensuring all outgoing materials are properly documented and authorized
- Conduct regular inspections of the site perimeter fence, barriers, gates, lighting, and CCTV systems to ensure they are in good working condition
- Plan and implement regular and random security patrol schedules across all areas of the site including the construction zones, plant areas, material storage yards, fuel storage, accommodation, and parking areas
- Respond swiftly, calmly, and decisively to all security incidents including unauthorized access, theft, fights, accidents, fire, or medical emergencies on site
- Develop, review, and implement site-specific security plans, emergency response procedures, and evacuation protocols in coordination with the Site Manager
Qualification: Ex-servicemen or candidates with mining site experience will be preferred.
