Workshop Manager
Job Summary:
Workshop Manager will be responsible for the efficient operation of our workshop or maintenance facility. Your primary goal is to ensure that all equipment, vehicles, or machinery are well-maintained, repaired, and serviced to meet operational requirements. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and effective management skills to oversee the workshop team and coordinate maintenance activities.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Workshop Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of the workshop, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow coordination to meet production or operational demands.
2. Team Management: Supervise and lead a team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff. Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
3. Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and reduce repair costs. Ensure that maintenance tasks are completed on schedule.
4. Equipment Inspections: Oversee routine inspections of equipment, vehicles, or machinery to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairs.
5. Inventory Management: Manage spare parts, tools, and consumables inventory to ensure availability when needed. Track and order necessary supplies.
6. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations within the workshop to maintain a safe working environment for all employees. Conduct safety training as needed.
7. Budget Management: Develop and manage the workshop budget, including cost estimation, expense control, and forecasting. Ensure cost-effective operations.
8. Quality Control: Implement quality control procedures to ensure that repairs and maintenance meet established standards and specifications.
9. Vendor Relations: Coordinate with external suppliers and service providers to source materials, parts, and services as required. Negotiate and manage service contracts.
10. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on workshop performance, including maintenance schedules, equipment status, budget tracking, and other relevant metrics.
Qualifications and Requirements
1. Proven experience as a Workshop Manager or in a similar supervisory role within a maintenance or automotive workshop.
2. Strong technical knowledge of equipment, machinery, or vehicles relevant to the industry.
3. Overall Experience : 5-10 Years

4. Proficiency in computer applications for maintenance management and reporting.
