Purpose:
The Crusher Operators will perform the day-to-day operation of the various stage
crushing and screening plant and conveying and stacking system. These positions
report to the Crusher Foreman. This is a safety-sensitive position.
Responsibilities:
- Perform the day-to-day operation of the crushing and screening plant and conveying and stacking system
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently to maximize throughput
- Monitor equipment and systems to ensure proper operation
- Ensure quality of material being crushed, screened, and stacked to maximize permeability and recovery
- Provide input and assist maintenance personnel as needed
- Perform cleanup and housekeeping to ensure a safe, clean, and productive work area
- Perform inspections to ensure dust control systems are functioning properly
- Perform conveyor and stacker moves as needed
- Assist metallurgical personnel to achieve maximum system performance and recovery
- Assist with training of new crusher operators
- Assist with the development of methods and procedures
- Perform all work to achieve a zero-incident level in the process department
- Participate in crusher department safety meetings
- Offer ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement of crushing facility operations
