Purpose:
A Crusher Welder, also known as a Crusher Welding Technician or Crusher Welder Fabricator, is responsible for performing welding and fabrication tasks on crushers and related equipment in industries such as mining, construction, and aggregates.
Responsibilities:
- Welding: Perform various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding,
to repair and fabricate components of crushers and related equipment, including crusher frames,
conveyor systems, and chutes. - Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics,
and engineering drawings to understand project requirements and welding specifications. - Material Preparation: Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and shaping them
to the required dimensions, ensuring proper fit and alignment during welding. - Weld Inspection: Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity,
and make necessary adjustments or repairs. - Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance and repair tasks on crushers
and associated equipment, including welding wear plates, liners, and other components. - Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the use
of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe work environment and prevent accidents. - Equipment Maintenance: Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working
condition, performing regular inspections and minor repairs.
Expected Skills:
